Down to the Gulf
We have not had anything of any particular interest to report in the past few weeks and it is not our habit to publish blog posts merely for the sake of it. However, this time we think that the wait has been worthwhile.
ColorFlash is delighted to announce the latest member of our Advisory Board. Ladies and gentlemen, please be upstanding for, drumroll…….. Richard Keys!
Yes, it’s that Richard Keys. The radio journalist, the football commentator, the nationally acclaimed breakfast TV anchor, the Sky Sports presenter and now, along with his long-time onscreen analyst amigo, Andy Gray, probably the most viewed English-language authority on football in modern media globally from the studios of Qatar-based BeIN Sports.
Richard has been at the vanguard of those who evaluate the poor enactment of technology in football and never holds back from voicing an opinion. His misgivings about the implementation of VAR are almost legendary and he also does not shrink from calling out the referees who are ultimately responsible for the administration and enforcement of VAR. Accordingly he sympathises with methods or technologies which can permit the man-in-the-middle to be more accurate and efficient.
Richards’s contextual input, allied with our not inconsiderable refereeing lobby, clearly demonstrates the commitment at ColorFlash to improving observance of one very simple but critical aspect of the Laws of the Game.
